The game has now also been officially added on IndieDB, and it can be found here:http://www.indiedb.com/games/five-nights-at-candys
The game is in its first “playable” state, and it still needs to be refined to ensure that gameplay is both challenging while still making sure that the game is doable. I am working on a way to expose more of the backstory in the game. It will not be entirely “direct”. It will be served to you on a silver platter, but you may need to study what it is you’ve been served…
I will also take time to answer some questions that I have gotten from many people;
Is there going to be minigames?
There won’t be minigames in Five Nights At Candy’s. They are extremely easy to program, and sometimes they can be extremely vague in storytelling.
Minigames in FNAF-fangames have become quite a “cliché” in my opinion, I’d rather resort to another little gimmick that have appeared in one of the official FNAF games…
Will the game have a Mac, Linux, and mobile version?
I can’t export the game for Mac or Linux as of the current time, and I doubt I will be able to in the future. I can’t export the game for mobiles either, as those exporters cost extra money, and MAINLY because I would have to rework the entire game and its graphics to a level that is compatible with mobiles.
Will Freddy and his buddies make an appearance in the game?
The characters in the game will only consist of the ones that I have created, not because of copyright, but mainly because I want the game to be as original as possible.
Is there a release date for the game?
Currently there is not a specific release date, but if Scott keeps his planned release date, I can guarantee that the game will come out before FNAF 4.
Now that you are making a game, can you help me wi-
NO, sorry. I can not help you with your fan-game, 3D model, or any other project.
I am taking a 4-5 year course in “Data- And Programming” and such, plus I have my own projects to work on.
Can I make let's plays / gameplay videos of Five Nights At Candy's on my channel if I credit you?
By all means, YES! I love to see people react to my videos, and I would especially love to see people play my game! You do not even have to credit me in your video or the description, as long as you don’t take the credit yourself then it’s fine!
Of course if you have many fans who watch your videos, I bet they would like if there was a link to the game-page so they could play the game themselves!
I have thousands of subscribers, can I get early access?
Nobody will get early access to the game. I want everybody to be able to enjoy the game when it is released.
Can I get a demo of the game?
There won’t be any demo of the game. The game will be completely free, so a demo wouldn’t really make any sense. The filesize of the game won’t be too big either.
