Grow in the Hole is set to make its second appearance in the Indie Zone at Insomnia this weekend at Insomnia 58, and to celebrate the game’s first big update has been released!
The update features:
Four new modifiers; Square Ball, Egg Ball, Portal Walls and Invisiball.
The ability to mix and match modifiers. Want to play with a sticky egg ball in Mars gravity or a square ball in a course made up only of flatlands? You can do that now!
A new ‘Random Every Hole’ modifier option, which will select new modifiers to play with on every hole. Good luck, you usually need it…
The ability to view your scorecard mid-round.
Controls can now be inverted and controller prompts changed to DualShock 4 buttons. Both of those options are available under ‘Settings’ on the Main Menu.
The length of a Pass ‘n’ Play game can now be set to 18 Holes, 9 Holes or Unlimited.
Pass ‘n’ Play players are now assigned colors and can be renamed on the Pass ‘n’ Play menu.
Six new ‘awardments’ to unlock, all based around the new modifiers and features this update has added.
Fixes for hole generation to avoid creating impossible to complete holes. Old seeds are still valid but may now be slightly different in less than 1% of cases.
Fix for ‘disappearing’ hole bug.
Improved tutorial when first playing.
Descriptions for each mode and modifier now displayed on relevant menus as well as under ‘Help & Tips’.
Various other minor bug fixes.
