Away visiting relatives this week, so just a short little update from me :)! Have been working on dynamic item processing mentioned in an earlier devlog and now also have a little progress bar display for items that need to show progress. This is useful for food items which can be consumed multiple times, lighting equips that burn out over time, food which decays in quality with time etc;
As i’ve been stuck working on my laptop, i’ve also spent a fair bit of time optimising the game to run on weaker machines. The new performance of the game is rather encouraging and we’ve achieved a stable 30 fps on an integrated intelHD 3000 whilst retaining a high visual fidelity :D!
Note: In this GIF, the eggs lose progress when placed in the chest, because it is not warm enough for them (Heat data from dynamic heat system). If you leave an egg in a cold environment for too long, it will die ):
