Introduction

Hello! Welcome to Roaming & Wandering! I'm Quartz of Quarta Studio, the Lead Director of the game. My team and I are in the works of making a full fledged turned-based RPG. This game has been in the works for a few months now and it was conceptualized all the way back in 2023. I will show you what this game has in store and what the future holds for it.

Originally, this was an old D&D campaign that me and my friends did a long time ago. Unfortunately we had to discontinue it due to burnout and wanting to move on with our lives. I still had all the ideas and memories spent from the time playing and didn’t want to let it all go to waste, so I decided that I’d let the legacy of the campaign live on through this game.

About:

As you've most likely seen in the About section of the game. Roaming & Wandering is a turn-based RPG with grid-like elements. The gameplay focuses on strategy and placement of units for battle, while also having an element of exploration and wonder in it. It's currently aiming to have the style the Octopath games had.

We don’t have much to share just yet, but we do have a few teasers and some beta gameplay to hook you in and give you a little idea of what the game’ll be like:

Story:

The world has been infected by a deadly plague, terrifying flesh monsters roam the land as they look for potential prey to feast upon. Those who would get a mark from the flesh monsters would become infected and slowly turn into those flesh beasts themselves. 5 wanderers set out on an expedition amongst the chaos to fulfill each of their own personal journeys they had set out for themselves.

The story focuses on each individual main character and their bond with each other as they travel, while also having the looming threat of the world to overcome. Each chapter of the game will focus on a certain character in a certain area.

Release Plans:

The game will be released over time between 7 parts: The prototype demo (The current stage), The prologue demo, Chapter 1 + 2, chapter 3, 4, and then 5. The prototype and prologue demo will be released for free, while the remaining chapters will be paid.

The prototype demo is the current stage we’re at right now. It's a demo which just basically shows the main features and mechanics of the game. We're Currently working hard on it. But the exact release date is still not known yet.

Team Applications:

Our team as of right now is pretty lively, however there is still much more that we could use help with. If you want to work on the game with us, you can fill in the form below and apply to be a part of the development for the project:

Our current teamlist:

  • Programmers (Godot 4.4) (2/4)

  • 2D Artist (2/3)

  • Sprite artists (Ones who can texture 3d models would be appreciated) (2/5)

  • 3D Modelers (For Environments and buildings) (1/3)

  • Musician (2/3)

Conclusion:

Well, that will be all for the introduction. I'll be posting devlogs here and there to show you the game's progress. I’m really passionate about this project. The original D&D campaign has helped me through a lot of tough times within my life and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. I’ve had a lot of fun and made many memories with it and I hope that you’ll get to have the same experience with this game too.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

I worked so hard to get all four of them to the end safely, but then...

I just wanted to introduce you to my latest musical production and hear some opinions about it. Thank you very much.

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
