According to the Hadith:
I asked the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, "Which of the deeds is most beloved to Allah?" The Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Performing the prayer at its prescribed, fixed time." I asked, "What next?" He replied, "Dutifulness to the parents." I asked, "What next?" He replied, "Jihad (striving) in the Cause of Allah." Had I asked him for more, he would have told me. [Al-Bukhari]
So yeah, if you want to go to Paradise, your second priority after Prayer should always be to love your parents and always listen to them

*Exception being if your parents ask you to commit sin. Obviously. Say if your parents told you to drink alcohol or steal or any other sin, refusal takes priority
Also your mother should take priority over your father:
Abu Huraira reported: A man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, “Who is most deserving of my good company?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man asked, “Then who?” The Prophet said “Your mother.” The man asked again, “Then who?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man asked again, “Then who?” The Prophet said, “Your father.”

So technically, if someone tries to insult you by calling you fatherless, just call them motherless, that's 3 times as bad ;)
