Gigaform 2 [Cancelled]

It dies!

(Title is referencing the previous blog entry…odd humor..)

About a month and a half ago, the laptop on which I have been storing all my active projects (just Gigaform 2 at the time) died during a failed transition to Windows 10.

I’m back with a new laptop. What sucks is, this laptop is a mere third of the power of my previous one (AMD A8 vs AMD E1), but I’ll take what I can get.

Gigaform 2 was about 70% complete when my laptop croaked, and, as you may be able to imagine, losing it all is disheartening on a level I cannot even conceive, and so with this, I am announcing the temporary cessation of all development on Gigaform 2, and before picking it up again, I’ll focus on less complex projects while simultaneously diving into new programming languages to get away from the all-too-familiar Game Make. I’ll start with a text-based adventure, programmed in Visual Basic.

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

It's now possible to destroy some of the obstacles and gain access to new locations or create shortcuts. #gamedev #indiegame #rpg
