Merry Christmas!
You can now play the unfinished build of FNaF World: Adventure DX. My Christmas gift from me to all of you!
To start, I'd like to mention that the game is 'beatable' in the sense that by beating all the bosses you can view the end credits. There are no cutscenes, so you may be confused about story context, and that's fine. I initially wanted to share the script but because of it's quality compared to my recent works and the horrendous formatting I've opted against it. Instead, I'll answer any questions regarding the story here, so leave a comment if you have any questions.
Next, some of you are probably wondering why I even bothered to do this. The game was canceled, like, nearly two years ago. Well, if you didn't see this devlog, I've canceled all my upcoming FNaF projects with the exception of one, and have moved to developing original projects and fan content not related to FNaF. That doesn't mean I'm giving up on the franchise or anything. But I've been doing this for so long and I've struggled to really get anything out these last few years. I feel like it's just not worth the time to try and make these large-scale RPG games, that lack a lot of key RPG features in the first place. Game development isn't where my heart is at. I just want to tell stories and prefer having an easier means to do so.
I do want to talk about something pretty major that WAS going to happen before I opted to cancel everything. I was, believe it or not, working on a third entry in the FNaF World: Adventure series called FNAF WORLD: OUROBOROS. It was supposed to take place after Edge of Time and involved a time-loop scenario. I actually got decently far into the concept stage and even produced a fully functional main menu, but that was it. Here's a little preview of that:
Ultimately, while I do wish I saw this game through, it was ultimately for the better I didn't. I made the first two games when I was like, sixteen years old? Not really happy with a lot of the choices I made, nor with the quality of their writing or gameplay. I think it's better to just leave them in the dust for good and focus my creativity into something that'll feel more worthwhile.
Now, I did say I am making ONE more FNaF fangame. It's not a FNaF World fangame. You can learn more in the devlog I mentioned earlier. I intend to release the game page on the 1st of January, 2024. Keep your eyes peeled.
That's all for now. If you read all of this, thank you, I appreciate it. I'm excited to be moving onto new and greater things. I hope all of you will stick by me as I do. They're not gonna be revolutionary or anything, but they are going to be something new. New as new can be, anyways.
