So... that FNaF 2 movie, huh?
In all honesty, it's like a 6/10 for me. It's a perfectly fine movie, it's just not one I was expecting.
Getting my praises out of the way: The visuals are better, the lighting is better, it overall looks better. The scenery and locations look better, and it's an overall improvement from the first in that department.
The story itself was also perfectly fine. My main gripes come from the ending. The best way I can compare it is... unfinished. Post-credits scenes were fine though.
Lot of under-utilization too, it felt weirdly rushed in some corners. It was a perfectly fine movie. Critics are being way too harsh on it however, it's NOT as bad as they're making it out to be, and I don't think it deserves to be lower than the 1993 Mario Movie.
tl;dr
Don't treat it like the first. Treat it like an 80's slasher with a sci-fi twist. Going into it with the mind of a FNaF fan is the best way to go. That's my take at least.
