guess i might attempt to keep the empty color dark blue while keeping the transparent color black

it seems changing the background color in rainbow road seems to do this to the ending
idk if this is a scrapped feature or not
looked in the bsnes debugger and it seems its still has the rainbow road tiles and palette loaded in

the lost version replaces the moles with rats and the thwomp just has their faces ripped off
