It's finally time to turn this mod into what it was always meant to be. I released it in an early state just to get the Chapter 4 subtitles out there for players, but I've always had larger plans for this...

Welcome to Just Another Dark Deception Extension (JADDE)!

If you're familiar with JAMMM, my other main modding project, this mod is pretty much the Dark Deception equivalent of that. Loaded with random quality-of-life changes and implementations fans want in the official game, I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!

Here's the big batch of changes in addition to what was already here:

Changelog:

• Changed the color of Glowstick Entertainment's logo on the splash screen to be green

• Added subtitles to the Joy Joy Ditty song

• Gave Telekinesis and Vanish unique sound effects

• Brightened the skybox of Mascot Mayhem Zone 1

• Reimplemented certain scrapped music tracks (you can hear these on the page)

  • Mascot Mayhem's Zone 2 Normal Theme

  • Mascot Mayhem's Zone 3 Panic Theme (for Zone 2)

  • Bearly Buried's Zone 2 Panic Theme

• Replaced inconsistent Trigger Teddy UI assets with Mama Bear

• Updated the preview images in the chapter gallery to be from DD Enhanced

• Altered some of Malak's voiceover in Bearly Buried

• Allowed subtitles that were shared between gameplay and cutscenes to have subtitles when appropriate

• Fixed more audio loops

  • Reaper Nurse's "Don't let him escape!"

  • Malak's "Did you forget that now I see what you see?"

• Greatly simplified the tablet minimap for Bearly Buried Zone 3

• Removed empty secret rooms on the tablet minimaps for the first zones of Torment Therapy and Mascot Mayhem

• Tinted the eyes of Mama Bear's boss form to be red

• Made the replay icon outline coloring more consistent

• Reorientated an upside-down painting in Deadly Decadence Zone 2

• Replaced Mind Your Manors (Deadly Decadence Zone 2 Panic Theme) with its YouTube version

• Modified some of the portal lighting in Bierce's Ballroom

• Made some code-based changes to Mascot Mayhem Zone 2

  • Disallowed certain lights to go through walls

  • Addressed props that were clipping

  • Better hid the starting positions of the reveal shard and stun orb

• Rebalanced the volumes for numerous audio files

• Altered reverb/echo settings in various places

• Cleaned up the text on the ring altar for upgrading powers

• Fixed some random typos

• Removed some stray pixels from Torment Therapy's title card

Unlike JAMMM, I wanted to release this mod with a fair bit of content upfront because Dark Deception isn't getting continual updates. Well I guess M&M isn't right now either, but you get what I mean. This mod will likely break when we get Chapter 5, but until then I really hope those who download this have fun! As always, suggestions are always welcome. While I won't always be looking to update this like JAMMM, I'm not opposed to patching in new stuff whenever I think the mod would benefit from it.
