Charles Herbertson watched as the worn VHS tape ejected from the boxy TV. He gently took it and looked at it. The tape was damaged yet still playable, and seemed to be a cut portion of a home video recording of a birthday party. The date on the recording was May 10th, 1995. Charles wondered whose birthday it was. Who did this tape belong to? And for that matter, how did it end up in that warehouse? There were other tapes that had been found in the rubble of the building, though they were all too damaged to work.
Now Charles’ mind suddenly went back a few months.
The fire.
Those last words he was told first made him feel sympathy, but now in hindsight, they also haunted him. What exactly happened was completely speculation but there was nothing else to work with. It was depressing to think about.
His thinking was interrupted by a technician entering the room. “Mr. Herbertson?” Charles turned in his chair, looking over towards their direction. “Yes?” He asked. “The test runs of the animatronics are going well. Little to no issues whatsoever.” The technician answered. “They should be finished very soon.”
Charles smirked. His teams not only made things of great quality, they were also very efficient too. “Well, from the sound of that, I suppose an opening in the spring will be easier to achieve than we think. Perhaps even sooner than that.” He said. Despite the gloom of what had happened months ago, things continued moving forwards, and they were moving forwards wonderfully.
Charles felt things will continue to get better.
