The monster is almost entirely comprised of an corrosive unknown slime, and the top half of a human skeleton.
This monster was created from a science experiment gone wrong, when one of the scientist tripped and poured a container of a newly created experimental slime onto the entire upper half of his body.
The slime dissolved his skin and flesh off his bones, and fused to the now exposed bones.
By the time the other scientist discovered what happened, the monster was long gone. Leaving behind a trail of slime and the lower half of the scientist's body.
