Hello, this is Noriega speaking!
It's been a while since last updates but the silence was worth it. We went quiet cuz we've been busy with a big change on this project, and finally getting to talk about it, this is a long one, so settle in
The big one
we're moving to Godot
The whole proyect is being rebuilt from scratch in Godot
We used to do it in Clickteam Fusion, wich got us only so far and we're grateful for it, but we kept hitting the same walls: features we wanted to build that the engine just wouldn't allow, performance we couldn't reach and a lot of systems we've been wanting to build for are finally possible
Faster development
we've done our own command based tools for overwolrd cinematics (Easy Events) and for battle attacks (Easy Attacks) letting us put long logic in a fraction of the time it used to take, working kinda like the geometry dash editor triggers

yes, it means rebuilding a lot, and we know how that sounds, but everything we've remade so far already runs better than the original, so we're confident this is the right choice
in fact overwolrd for the demo is already on 85% done with the help of now Red also using godot
Built on .NET & C#
we're running Godot's .NET build with C#
mostly means the game will be more optimized, smoother, and its less likely to crash mid game once its build
Battle engine
The fight engine got reworked too
New tweaks throughout, plus a cool look for the item bar and the monster display, more in line with the style we're going for

Examples of more shenanigans
These are just for testing, probably not in real battle
(you've may seen some of these before)

Overworld: quick look
New tweaks and sprites for the menus, item icons, and a cooler ui

Multi-language support
THANATOS is being built to be multi language, we have seven languages confirmed and planned, including the ones fittings toby's vision
English
Spanish - (Español)
Porguese - (Portugués)
Russian - (Русский)
Korean - (한국어)
Chinese - (中文)
Japanese - (日本語)

tho we'll probably start with English and Spanish (since they are the easiest to look after) other languajes are being larped for now untill they get proper feedback
Controller support + Going mobile (and web maybe¿)
Plug and play, full controller support is in, so you can play from the couch if that's your thing
And we're working on an Android version and aiming for a Play Store release if things go as planed with the android SDK
we're also looking into a browser/web build. but that's still the experimental side of Godot's C# support, so its under the "maybe" for now, but it's on our radar, we're not promising anything too much with that for now
Swappable borders, anytime with F5
Like the console Undertale ports, you can use the screen borders, pressing F5 at any point to cycle through them, small touch but nice

It also has the option in Overworld

And one more thing: the undertale kit we're doing for the game is going public as a godot template
The systems we built THANATOS on top of, the whole Godot engine kit, is being released for everyone to download. If you've ever wanted to make your own Undertale style game, this is meant to give you a good head start
it'll include the features being showed here +
Naming and Intro
Follower system
All Weapons
Game Over
and more as the comunity grows
It's getting its own GameJolt page, so give it a follow if you plan to build something with it: https://gamejolt.com/games/undertale-kit/1078577

Final words
That's the big one, thank you for sticking around through the quiet stretch, we know it was a long one, but we really think this rework is going to be worth every bit of it
Stay tuned, It only gets better from here
