Today, I worked on tweaking some gameplay aspects more.

First, I made the asteroids in the outside ring smaller.

I also changed the dodecagon-shaped collider to a circular one to make the bouncing shards bounce better.

I made a new material to make the gem shards have very little/no friction, so they bounce almost infinitely.

I added some instructions on the pause screen to help playing.

Last, I tweaked some parameters so the gems break a lot slower and the tractor beam doesn’t reset the shards’ trajectories.

Here are some screenshots from early in the game.

August 20 (30 minutes later) I noticed that the game was set to a 16:9 resolution, but the UI didn’t fit correctly. I’m not really sure how to fix the web version… but I fixed the downloadable. BEFORE: AFTER: I also added a quit button.
