July Devlog (Part 2)


The video above is a VERY early build of Ease Racing, just thought it would be cool to show off the bigger tracks!

Anyways, since part 1 of the july devlog was just future plans and all talk, I decided to make this part 2 to ACTUALLY detail progress on the game.

Okay, so first of all, there are 4 new music tracks: Forest, Ocean, Boss, and Victory (i'm probably going to change victory sometime in the future). Most of these are probably the final tracks.

Second of all, I can confirm that Ifei 1-4 are getting remastered in Ease Collection. Ifei 3, especially, is extremely broken and definitely needs a remaster. So yeah, you can look forward to the first 4 Ifei games in Ease Collection. Ifei 5 and 6 are being left out because Ifei 5 is 3D (not clickteam compatible) and Ifei 6 is new.

Finally, the city level for the Ease 1 deluxe port is finished:

You may have noticed that i've been aiming for a more "cartoony" artstyle. The fonts are obviously a big WIP.

Prepare yourself for some of the bonus levels in Ease 3 though:

Heres also a list of some of the spinoff material that will be included in Ease Collection's bonus menu:

  • Ease: The Seven Shards

  • Easebusters

  • Ease Racing (You knew this already though)

  • Ease Adventures

  • Ease: The Prologue

  • Ease 3.0

  • Ease Fighters

  • Ease vs Agent Tucker animations (edits made to the first episode for copyright reasons)

There will be way more than this, these are just some of the material that will be ported into Ease Collection.

Next up

Here is a proper sneak peak of the Swamp level from Ease 1, this level is one of my personal favorites.

Its been so long since I have shown actual gameplay footage or screenshots, so heres a "round" of the new Ease 2 prototype. The game has been redesigned to be more arcade-like, with enemies getting faster/firing projectiles faster every round.

Huggy: Ultimate Edition, a collab game between @MasterGames31 and me, is finished! This game takes place during the Ease comics and contains remakes of Huggy 1-2 using the Huggy 3 engine, Huggy 3, and three bonus level packs made with the Huggy 3 engine.

The Spider

Since the Ease Collection DEMO is releasing on December 25th, I want to show off how much the grasslands level in Ease Collection actually improved over lifeless (beyond cursed) void of last year's grassland.
