You actually need to move to the different areas to beat the nights. If there’s an animatronic in the hall/ room you are in, unless you somehow have the mask on, you will die. This makes the last few nights REALLY HARD because once Nightmare Springtrap gets to the office (or the bedroom from fnaf 4, because its in the game eventually) you have to run to the starting office and then distract him with the audio.
He should go to the camera you played the audio in. Some of the others work differently. NIGHTMARE, TOY NIGHTMARE, Nightmare Fredbear, Nightmare Balloon Boy, and Nightmare Golden Freddy will not attack you if you have the mask on. I will also put eastereggs in the game, hidden throughout the nights (one could be found in the office; night 1, 12 am- another could be found in FNaF 4 bedroom; SURVIVAL MODE, 24:00:00
