For starters, I am likely going to regress this project into something heavily gameplay focused, with maybe some bits of narration in between. Truth be told, the kind of game I wanted to make in the first place was an "arcade-style" game, not a whole platformer-RPG; I just... Dunno, I presented my idea to Bettina's community with no real plan, and somehow bumbled into the RPG format anyway; and worse off the game got a following that I was not prepared for, and even hoped to avoid. Thus, as y'all have seen, the project's been a train wreck. :/
There's that, and there's just the fact that I sort of don't really *love* Undertale as much as I used to. I still love it, and there's a few content creators I still follow for it, but I've moved on the exploring other indie games; and am also more interested in my personal projects now. (Those however are not being posted on this account; this account was strictly made for Bettina's community)
Even still, in the grand scheme of things I know it will make me feel better to have some closure with this project; even if it means gutting most of it.
Next up
I just finished playing Deltarune Chapter 2. Decided to make a thing. (Just so we're clear, while Bettina uses Joyce as her avatar, Joyce is still often represented as her own person separate from Bettina.)
Gameplay/Animation test...
Some work in progress...
Just here to wish you all a happy Halloween!
After a few years of honing my spriting skills, I've decided to try upgrading Joyce and Neela into a higher resolution with more detail. Here is a gif that demonstrates the latest pixel-art for them! ^_^
Evolution of Joyce and Neela's sprites. From their first appearance in this project, to a short-lived second edition that used my personal project as a template, to now their latest sprites.
