Just finished watching Black Fish and oh my god it's so sad

You feel kind of horrified that orca's would kill that many people but you also feel so bad for the orca's because being in captivity is so awful and frustrating for them (more in article)


It makes me feel sick honestly

I've been to a couple zoo's and aquarium's in my life and even though I knew it isn't right for these animals to be caged in for people's entertainment I never really did much abt it

I don't have any money to donate to people who can help save animals but I'm going to try to refrain from giving money to these places that will profit and use that money to make these animals lives worse

Not to mention it's heartbreaking especially with these killer whales

I learned this today but orcas have an extra part in their brains that humans don't have. It's an empathetic part of their brain. These whales thrive off of interaction and emotion with their family.

There's a part of the documentary that shows a mother whale and her baby playing around in Sea Land (I think that's what it's called)

That park took away that mother's baby from her and all she could do was float in a corner and scream.

Sea Land called scientists to see what was happening and all they could describe this screaming as was grief.

I'm sorry to land this random post on yall but I think it should be let known to everyone how our actions effect the things and other living beings around us

Just watch Black Fish please it's on Netflix and it really makes you think about how we as humans make other creatures lives worse the more we dig our heels in
