I wanted to speak on this because I never want anyone to feel powerless in such a situation.

Tonight, I had a superior step over line with me for something incredibly asinine. He was trying to convince me to do something I knew wasn’t right. I went with my gut. The situation was minor, but he blew it out of proportion. The gist of it is he went on a power trip because he had a problem with me standing up to him. I was respectful but firm, he switched up on me.

I am a woman of principles and I will do was is expected of me. I don’t care what other people do. His position got to his head and he tried to intimidate me in a way that could be perceived as a threat. He gave me a coaching which was absolutely ridiculous. He is not the big boss or even the right hand. During this coaching, he was misinformed. I explained my stance and brought up an example concerning this same situation that happened on Sunday. It was just me and him that Sunday night. He gaslighted me and he also twisted my words earlier today.

My other superior blew up on him and explained I was in the right. What he did was very wrong. I will deal with the situation accordingly and make an oral report to my boss tomorrow morning. I have multiple witnesses. His behavior is causing problems for others as well. Now I don’t feel comfortable with that man and I don’t trust him either. I refuse to work with him alone again. He could lie easily and I will request that my boss review Sunday’s footage so she can tell me what she saw.

Batty Bats, please never let anybody, in any situation, make you feel like you are beneath them. Do not take intimidation or threats lightly. It may not be easy, but report or remove yourself from the situation. You are a human being and you deserve to be treated with respect. I don’t consider myself a strong person, but I will speak up for my character. My mother has always told me respect comes with respect; no matter the position. She has been in higher positions and holds true to that. I always aim to do the same.
