Why do I keep tryna draw positions that I've never drawn before? I don't think it's helping me practice drawing that much.

New illustration for a friend. 
Originally, I was going to make it a blue forest, but tried a warm yellow glow just to see what would happen, and fell in love with it, sooo... Maybe a blue forest will happen another time.
