I deleted the drawings I had posted, mainly because I want to focus my account on 3D now, which is what I’m most passionate about. Even if I don’t make the best things, 3D works out better for me than 2D hehe. I made all the textures myself in Substance Painter

And the things I censored in the reference image were other classmates’ faces and my school’s logo. Honestly, I didn’t censor the faces out of respect, but rather to keep the focus on the person I actually modeled—although it doesn’t really look much like the reference, hmm… I think it doesn’t look like her at all. But I still like how the model turned out lol
(I know the reference image is in terrible quality, but it’s the only one I have where she appears. Mostly, I relied on how I remember her, because with that image… I don’t think I would’ve been able to make anything…
)
The hardest thing to make was clearly the hair, because this time I didn’t use particles—everything is made with planes. I could have done it semi-automatically by using particles and converting them to planes, but it didn’t look good, so I had to place each plane one by one to create every strand of hair. And then finally make the hair texture, the base color, and the alpha… it was honestly a pretty tedious process

Unprocessed image of how it looks. I literally placed all the planes myself, which is why it might look a bit bald or like it’s missing some hair. But well, in the end it didn’t turn out too bad. (The eyelashes are planes too, though this time subdivided.)
Well, maybe now I’ll make every post in this long format. I liked it; I didn’t think I’d write this much, but I think it’s fun to talk about the process, so I’ll do it more often… well, every time I post something, which I guess will actually be more often now
