Kickstarter Update #2: References and inspirations

Hey guys!

In this update we wanted to talk to you about our references while doing this first person exploration game.

As you may already know we’re developing a deeply narrative science fiction mystery game and you are going to play as a crew member of the USSC Lazarus. The cargo spaceship will be inhabited by Hybris. Hybris it’s an AI and commands the spaceship during the cryosleep and when you awake due to a failure in the cryogenesis, she is the only one with you in the Lazarus. What are you doing there? Who are you? From this beginning (a little bit cliché, we know that) we want to tell a story about self-discovery and the possibility of redemption through the mechanics and events our character will live, but also we want to tell a lot of little stories, details and pieces of the universe we’re building through the scenary and the exploration this kind of game can offer.

Check it out on our Kickstarter campaign!

See you soon!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
