On the next day, I decided to start looking at the game's files. The characters that aren't playable still have their sprites and code, which was odd to me. I decided to boot up the game. However, instead of the title screen, I was met with a black one instead. There was an ominous wind blowing sound, and eventually, Knuckles appeared. He didn't do anything, and I couldn't make him do anything. Knuckles disappeared for a single frame before the level started. The title card wasn't here that time, unlike the previous level. The level appeared to be Marina Madness. One thing to note, was that the HUD in the top left corner didn't appear. I got to the end of the level, and the sign post was there this time. After completing the level, the game bugged out, and crashed. This time, no .txt files were generated. The game kept crashing each time I tried to open it again, so I just decided to finish investigating for the day.
