I’m going to be real busy over the next few months but not necessarily on the game. I’m a college student and I’m approaching the end of the first month of the current course semester and this usually means that college projects and study work is going to start piling up. Needless to say, I’m still capable of working on my game everyday but only in small amounts which is why I focused mainly on sprite-work and animation this week. (What usually takes the most time is coding and level design.)
This week, I came up with this idea of scientists who constantly throw barrels at the player, kind of like Donkey Kong. They’re smart but not very brave, if you walk near them they hide. So far, all I’ve done coding-wise, is trigger a hide animation when the player steps too close but I have not yet designed them to throw barrels.

Besides that, I’ve decided to start making some sprites of other objects in advance before I begin coding work on them. Take a look. Consider them a glimpse to the future of the overall feel of the laboratory.
