My normal process of working on level design has been to sketch out a rough idea onto paper first before actually putting any game objects into a scene. Here are the sketches I’ve made for the next level’s design:


If you’re having trouble making out any accurate details, that’s because I couldn’t bother to design it in such a way that other people will be able to understand it. I’m a single developer anyway so that doesn’t matter.
All that needs to be done now is use my sketch as a base guide when I actually begin working on level design. I’m going to start on Monday as I usually do.
I’ve also got new platforming obstacles I created this week to be used for this new level. Featured below I’ve made:
A cannon that shoots slime
Floor tiles covered in slime that make them slippery
An unstable barrel of slime
