Labyr Alpha Version: 1.2.1 has been released! This update adds the new leveling system!

NEW FEATURES

  • Added wooden spikes.

  • Added controller vibration when taking damage.

  • Added 10 new room variations including boss room(s).

  • Added the option to randomize the background on large maps.

  • Added new broken variations to the wooden post sprite.

  • Added proper burning effects to wooden posts.

  • Added a flashing arrow that shows up to tell you which way the door leads.

  • Added a wooden cart with wheels that can be moved around and set on fire.

  • Added chests that drop weapons when broken.

  • Added snake-chain weapon. (magic whip)

  • Added exp_orb object with different values. (1, 5, 25, 50, and 100)

  • Added level up feature with experience point spending. (p1 controls point distribution)

  • Added an auto-save feature. Your save will be deleted upon death. Press ‘Select’ at the main menu to load a save if it exists.

CHANGES

  • Gibs now dissapear at the last 10% of their health instead of from 100%.

  • Gas particles now dissapear at the last 10% of their health instead of from 100%.

  • Webs now dissapear at the last 10% of their health instead of from 100%.

  • Explosion hitboxes are now more accurate and easier to implement.

  • Explosions now effect bullet trajectory.

  • Explosions now do damage to gibs.

  • Explosions now cause knockback to enemies and objects.

  • Reduced knockback caused to players by explosions.

  • Reduced explosion damage to be more balanced.

  • Explosions now set things on fire.

  • Increased movement speed of the gron creature.

  • Increased movement speed while holding the flail.

  • Removed some spiders from the spider room to decrease difficulty.

  • Decreased size of the background sprite to reduce game size.

  • Modified some rooms.

  • Reduced zombie density to increase knockback when shot by players.

  • Zombies now agro any time they take damage.

  • Increased light size for the wooden log when its on fire.

  • Increased camera speed to improve background texture clarity.

  • Modified how background objects handle parallax.

  • Added an extra layer of background.

  • Modified some background textures.

  • Increased density and removed restitution from ragdoll limbs.

  • Enemies now track the player based on a global range variable.

  • Zombies now grunt when they spot the player.

  • Bullets no longer remove zombie bodies.

  • Zombie heads must be removed from their bodies or they will continue to revive.

  • Single door rooms now require both players to use the passage.

  • Larger wooden objects now burn at a faster rate.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the player to be unable to climb while holding the jump button.

  • Increased fire spread rate from 0.5 to 0.75.

  • Replaced collision code for most flammable objects with a single script.

  • Doors now open with Y instead of B to make dashing easier.

  • Weapons can now be picked up like other small objects.

  • Zombie heads now take explosion damage instead of the body.

  • Reduced the hitbox size for the skull creature.

  • Some weapons are now semi-auto. (the rocket launcher and shotgun)

  • Crates now drop chests instead of weapons.

  • Fixed both of the player lights.

  • Removed the torch stand.

  • Added a nullified attack script that does no damage.

  • Weapon drops can now be punched like other small objects.

  • Fixed gun position in the hud.

  • Added the shotgun and rocket launcher to the hud.

  • Players can now jump on gibs.

  • Players can now jump on all creatures instead of just land creatures.

  • Zombie bodies now jerk and move until you destroy the head.

  • Zombie now traverse slopes and spikes better.

  • players can no longer dash while standing still.

  • The ak47 now shoots in bursts for testing.

  • Rooms now have difficulty based on distance from spawn.

  • Enemies now increase stats based on the room difficulty.

  • Enemies, boxes, and players now use the defence stat.

  • Taking damage now creates negative damage numbers.

  • Bullets now do damage based on the player’s stats.

  • Weapon drops must be held before they can be used.

  • Fire and other status effect damages are now based on a percentage of max_hp.

  • Worms now spawn depending on the difficulty of the room. (increased chance as room difficulty increases.)

  • Fire bullets now hit 4 times instead of 5.

  • Loot bags now drop more loot.

  • Small boxes now block light similar to how large boxes do. (mainly noticable when on fire)

  • Small creatures will no longer die if they touch a dead player.

  • Dead players can no longer interact with doors.

  • Players must now be out of combat to reset the game from the pause menu.

  • Fixed the text on the main menu.

  • Removed the ambient soundtrack.
