Hello, all!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever your cultural holiday is called this time of year
I'll start this devlog by addressing the elephant in the room - when is Lady Ice REDUX going to be released?
Well earlier this month I was very confident about getting it finished, and it really is nearly finished. But for the past week I've been suffering with a bad illness which has forced me to spend most of my time away from development, and currently it shows no signs of going away. I'm hereby sad to say that I'll need some more time to recover from my illness and will finish development of Lady Ice in January 2020. I need to focus on regaining my health and I also cannot let this project get in the way of my full-time job!
But do not fret, this is a development update and I will show some images of what I've done up to now!

!!SPOILER ALERT!!! The following images show gameplay!
---

First of all, the lighting has been much improved. When there are no used candles the unlit cabin looks cold and uninviting. The only way to "see" where Lady Ice is, is to use her silhouette against the window light sources. However when candles are lit, the cabin looks more warm and comfortable, because you are more safe from Lady Ice. Also observe the small tooltip text in the top-left corner of the image, which is supposed to express the player character's 'thoughts'. These pop-up during important stages to explain the situation and also when the player is near something vital to progressing. I added this due to QA feedback being that it was too difficult to understand the objectives.

The next addition to the game are newspaper clippings. These can be picked up and read, and are supposed to explain the backstory behind Lady Ice; Who was she? How did she come to life? Again the tooltip is active in the top-left corner because the player is near something important (the newspaper).

Finally, these are interactable paintings inside of the cabin, to give a little life to the interior and also make the cabin look more "lived-in". These paintings are also important to the backstory of Lady Ice

That's it for now. I am going to use the rest of 2019 to rest and recover from my illness. I hope you all have a more exciting end to the decade.
