Lens Flares and Cameras are coming! | Status Devlog #4

Heyho everyone!
Welcome to a brand new Status Devlog. So first of all this devlog will be a little longer because the next update will be not quite small and I have a lot of discussion to make. Alright let’s start.

Finally the new Lens Flare feature!

Lens Flares were one of the most requested features in Stage Simulator.
Finally I had the time to get my hands on it and I had moments of tears and blood giving every light an adjusted flare and colliders but I made it. This feature is finally finished and I’m glad to give you a sneak peek of those beautiful Lens Flares which will make the lighting system a lot more realistic and here it is:

So what you may can see is if the lights are deactivated they are fully black and don’t have this white dot at the front anymore.

The new Camera System

Yep there actually is more I have to show you. Finally those useless monitors in the DMX Control Tents have their very own function now. I’ll show you.

If you go to the DMX Controller (the middle one) you can turn the monitors with a left click on and see the stage from total different perspectives in realtime. Also the DMX Controllers are now signed depending on what function they have. BUT CAREFUL! This feature is a huge FPS killer so good PCs should not have a problem but if you’re playing with a low PC you’ll get lags. But don’t worry the monitors are regularly turned off. It’s up to you if you want to turn them on or not. Keep in mind that this feature isn’t finished yet and what you can see on the image is maybe not the final version. I’m still busy working at the code and placing the cameras right. Both stages will get this feature (Emblyn Stage 3 monitors = 3 different cameras, Pentum Stage 4 monitors = 4 different cameras).

So I can tell you so much more but it would be too much but I hope you like these news. I don’t know yet when this update will be released but guess I will not make it this week.
