Hey everyone ,
On the 23rd of April I started working on a game for a competition at the Dutch GameMaker Community (NGMC).
My insipration for this game came from a game called the Sims: the Urbz. I have made everything from scratchin only five and I am quite happy with the result at the time.
However, it was only just the engine. It was playable and quite entertaining, but it could much more. At first I thought the deadline was the 28th of April, that’s why I rushed things a bit. Even though I was happy with what I had created, I felt defeated for not being able to make more of it in the litte time I had. However, silly me, it turned out I actually had another 30 days left.
A couple of days ago I came once again across gamejolt. To give a game a rating I had to create an account, which I did.I figured, now I have an user account, I might aswell post my games here aswell. The feedback I got was very positive and I had even received a four Lightning Bolt rating, not bad!
A few of the commenters asked me to make the game bigger and more features. All this positive feedback gave me a boost of motivation to do more work on, what I thought, this lost project. So I decided to grab the designdocuments and started adding bigger and better things.
As of now I have already created some new graphics and started on the progamming. I’m aiming to have made some major changes to the game by the 28th of May. Let’s see how far I can make it!
