Let's talk about how FNaF Multiplayer: Forgotten Pizzeria 7.0 will be lookin'~! (click 'read article' right below here!)


There are three sides to 7.0 of FP. All equally magnificent.

Skill system huge rewrite (in progress):

  • All skills are being in a (lengthy) process of being rewritten. They will now stop being tied to their user. They will also start using my elaborate file-reading-for-references-system.

    • This means... Well, it doesn't mean a whole lot from the player perspective, ASIDE FOR:

    • Spectator will now be able to, at runtime, copy and display seamlessly all of the skills of the currently spectated person, with lower effort from my side than ever before.

    • Once this Skill rework is finalized, I'll be able to, if I'd like to, create an entity with Dash, Cupcakes, Torreador and Stamina + Sprinting simultainously - in under a minute. Not like it really matters, but it's pretty exciting to think about.

Tasks system major rework (planned):

  • When a Task is completed by a single guard, it gets checked off for all the guards who have said Task.

    • Example: 2 players both have a Women's bathroom task. Once player 2 does the task, player 1 also gets the task checked off on his list.

  • Each Balance preset will now get a +1 to the Task count.

    • Meaning 'beginners' balance will now have 3 tasks, 'classic' balance will have 4, and 'hardcore' balance will have 5.

This change will finally give a reason for guards to talk to each other. Because from now on, what your partner got as a task, and what he plans to complete himself, matters also to you.

Win conditions will be edited to require atleast a third of start Nightguards to escape in order for them to win.

Chica major rework (done):

  • Max Cupcakes: 2 -> 8.

  • Cupcake damage: 20 -> 10.

  • 12s cooldown between each Cupcake planting.

  • No more yellow edge detection vision - just a thick fog. This will make it notably more clear that Chica doesn't see past this distance.

  • Chica starts using a new 'notification' system, wherein all of the cupcake status updates will be displayed on the left-middle side of her screen.

  • Once the max cupcake count (8) is reached, using the skill again will replant the oldest (being planted for the longest) Cupcake to your current position.

  • Cupcakes now become independent Entities. Instead of instantly disappearing the moment Chica becomes disabled as up to now, each 3 minutes of their planted lifetime they check if Chica still exists. If she does, they renew their lifetime for another 3 minutes, if she doesn't, they unplant themselves.

This rework makes Chica way more new-player friendly, more up-to-date with the Transfer system, opens a lot of new room for strategies, and lastly also buffs her a notable bit. As this rework happened in this update, it is already fully integrated with the new Skill system, meaning Spectators see Chica's vision 1:1 as she does.

Bonnie major rework (planned):

  • Radar skill, instead of enabling wireframe, will now highlight with reddish silhouettes the positions of all Nightguards.

  • Radar cooldown will probably change, but it's not yet decided how.

  • Bonnie's base speed will be slightly lowered, and he will get a Stamina bar along with the ability to sprint.

Foxy nerf (done):

  • Dash cooldown: 3s -> 5s.

Some ending words, this is clearly HUGE. It is a blast for me to work on this now, although I'm essentially rewriting like half of the game lol. Hope to hear some feedback from yall!

Just finished updating FNaF Multiplayer: Forgotten Pizzeria game page's featured screenshots! I'm pretty confident when I say that these look & feel amazing! :>

A guide to getting v8.0 running (updated for v8.0.1): - Start the autoupdater on v7.0.2 (currently gamejolt-downloadable) - Launch once it updates. Once gamejolt fixes their servers, 8.0 will become downloadable directly from here.

FNaF: FP v8.0 releases! Read the patchnotes in-game. The auto-updater may fail partially -> you'll get a 'temp' folder and that contains the newest version. Gamejolt servers are still kinda down... So you can only rely on the auto-updater for now.
