I had made the demo of the game originally around two or more years ago. The game is an RPG that would span a large open world with massive areas and smaller areas. It was a massive learning opportunity for me. It laid the ground work for how I would do my current game.
I am going to be using the ARPG play set that I am trying to put into my horror game into this one along with the multiplayer plugin that I am using in the horror game as well. I though about making it an MMO but all the plugins I saw for that didn't work with the ARPG play style.
I have it listed now, but I haven't even finished anything for the game. I am working mainly on my horror game and won't hit this project hard until after I finish the horror game. I am currently just doing a map layout for a playtest that will be released when it is done. I just need to make sure I can get some of the stuff done that I want to do. Which is more than I could have done in the version I had made before.
The early version followed more of a path that would have led you to a clone of Final Fantasy, but I don't want that to happen. I want this remake to be something more than it was last time. The biggest thing I am going to keep in this version is where when you beat certain characters you can make them part of your party. That is if that can work with the ARPG stuff. If not then it will be normal boss battles.
I also made it to where choices had an effect on the world around you. Granted it was a lot to do for my experience when I had first worked on it. I haven't announced this anywhere else. I hope to be back with more information when I can.
