I have currently started on a new game called Limiting The Insanity the other day. It will be in development for a long time as I’m pretty much the only person that is working on this. I’m currently getting a team together and if anyone wants to join and help it would be greatly appreciated.
Limiting The Insanity is a survival game. I may even integrate it into being a horror survival. The goal is to create big levels and in each level having the player roam around finding items to survive from the creatures around them. The will encounter people as well which may attack them. The beginning all starts out as a mystery and there is more and more of the story to be told as you work further in the game it becomes more and more action packed, strategic and tactical. At first the game will be of confusion and mystery of what is going it. It will a little laid back as you roam around and look at the landscapes and scenery in the game. The further the player progresses the more complex it will get. There is many ways the player can play such as being stealthy or going all out for an action packed adventure. The game is linear though the player can choose different routes as well. A big thing in most games that are dying out is a storyline. Many games are played just for the amusement and the games that are not indie games do have a storyline, but it’s just not as great at it used to be years ago. I want to put back the whole feel of knowing and understanding your character as well as others. It’s not all about the gameplay that makes a game worth remembering, it’s about the story that is told.
