Whats good we're back at it with another Update for Last Night with Multicolored Cats

Progress

I haven't worked on the game in a minute, but I left it in a good place. Greengarden is like 60% done I'd say. This area is already much larger than Fractured House, and not just in size, but content too. Getting back into working on the game.

Greengarden is a unique area in that it is outside, in an open forest/garden area. However, the current look of Greengarden doesn't really do this idea justice, notice how it has big solid color walls and stuff.

When Greengarden is finished, it won't look anything like what it does now, but will share the same layout for everything. It's probably going to be the hardest area to make, but once it's over then the rest should be simple enough.

I finished every character resprite a while ago too, you can see sprite edits of the new Purple and Gold in the header image for this post. I can't show off everyone yet though, it includes some characters I haven't revealed yet.

Going forward, many other things will get resprited too, especially the current tilesets. They're just kind of ugly, I can do better. Right now the focus is just getting the area layouts finished, then I can worry about making them look good.

In the meantime while you wait for the game, why don't you try the demo? It gives a good idea of what the game is about.

Ideas

I've thought about renaming Last Night with Multicolored Cats. I feel like the current title makes it seem like a traditional FNAF fangame at first glance, which is not what LNWMC is. LNWMC is a RPG. However, I do really like the title Last Night with Multicolored Cats. Just in case, I did come up with a few replacement titles if I ever were to change it.

- Multicolored Cats: Colorwheel

- Multicolored Cats: The Next Day

- Multicolored Cats: Golden Wind (this is a joke title but would unironically work for this game)

- Multicolored Cats: Aftermath

While making games you get a hundred other ideas for what you might wanna make next. This was the case during ONWMC, I was already planning and making assets for this game when ONWMC was entering it's final development phases.

I have a REALLY good idea for a "ONWMC 3" that I said I wasn't going to do. I'm still not gonna work on this, right now at least. My one focus is getting Last Night with Multicolored Cats finished, then we'll see if I feel like making this game. It's such a good concept I think, I'll have to share it eventually when it's done.
