Long Live the Cat King is Live!

After the longest day I’ve ever pulled for the past 6 years… Long Live the Cat King is fully playable and I’m pretty proud of my code that went into it.

There’s a couple of small things I’d like to fix up that I just ran out of time to do (i.e. slightly trim one portrait that’s crushing the text, moving the placement of a object in the intro that’s not where it’s supposed to me) that will probably quietly happen over the next day or two but it really all pulled together.

I did end up taking out a little bit of content for the Jam launch. We had a lot of good ideas but ran out of time with it. For instance the end-game puzzle of telling Mama what happened was supposed to be Madlibs based rather then big but beautiful buttons. So we’re currently planning to make a 3 pack of all current stories with the Dorcassons - Glass Splinters, Able Mabel and now Long Live the Cat King and so part of that is finishing the content missed in the Jam so this certainly won’t be the last version of Long Live the Cat King.

I hope you all enjoy Long Live the Cat King and look forward to future Dorcasson Sister games! -Natalie/Resulka
