I'll cut to the chase, answer the immediate question that has been roaming around, is this still being worked on? No. If you wanna know more details and thoughts please read ahead.
It's been over 2 years since the tiny demo I shown, and a few months after that release I prepped up more mechanics and various features I was excited for. However nothing was released.
Truth being told, I haven't worked on ANY game in a very long time. It's multiple reasons but I'll get to this specific game first. I was told the Dev's behind Corpse Party may not be too happy with the project here, regarding their characters and assets being used to create it. It is speculation, but it was enough to make me fear continuing the project with the possibility of a lawsuit towards me.
Another reason, my Software was acting up to the point it's difficult to continue any project. From .js issues to profiles not matching and even it simply crashing every 30min, even on blank projects, and it was something a few others were having issues as well.
Last reason, the most obscure, Motivation. This particular reason sets towards my Game Developing entirely. I may be a developer the size of a single grain of sand, but I care for quality, and I feel if I don't meet a certain point on development, the project falls apart.
With everything said, I have been considering getting back into game development. I am unsure as to which projects will stick around or if I will start on a clean slate. I do wish however the support shown to this game to carry over to whichever project comes up in the future. Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
