Hi, I’m skaiano of Love Bird, Hate Bird Media. We’re a really small group currently producing smaller games on Enterbrain’s VX ACE engine.
Recently over at RMN, there was a contest being held called “Game Chill.” A winter themed contest of which I’ve submitted a project to. The project is titled Dunlop Cavern: Curse of the Eggnog.
Dunlop is a lightweight dungeon crawler with rogue-esque elements. Progression on the game is based more on navigation than level-grinding. Additional features can be found on the games page.
Anyway, because of the contest’s deadline the game was released in a beta-like format. There are changes and overhauls already being planned for the game’s future, but at the moment I’m trying to collect as much data as I can to make a sort of compendium of what fixes/additions should be made. I’ve come here because this “refurbished” edition of the game will be coming to both RMN and Game Jolt.
So what am I looking for? Basically anyone willing to test out of pure interest. Anyone willing to investigate the game, find exploits, break it, nitpick, and find any room for improvement within the game. At this stage honestly, all commentary is insight.
I thank you so much for your time! For those interested, please send complaints/reports to: [email protected] (Subject: Dunlop Cavern Report) No formal experience is needed, just the willingness to play and complain.
The download is available in the link above, testers are heavily advised to read the provided “READ-ME” in the download, particularly the “known bugs” section.
Thank you again! And hopefully you can help bring the game’s full potential to Game Jolt!
