Recently, I've gotten less and less happy with the current concepts for Cinis In Cinere. Well, not the concepts. I like the concepts, they're good. Just the way I've thought about executing them. I'll give an example.
A major part of the story is how it takes place over several resets instead of just one. I think this is a really good idea, but there's a glaring issue with how I've thought about doing it. I've been thinking that it would just be (in a fangame), small overworld segments, you find Sans in a room, he talks a bit, fight, reset.
To be honest, that sounds very uninteresting. So, from now on, I'm going to be reworking lots of things in the story to make this more than a Sans fight collection. Each individual reset will be longer, and have more time in the overworld for cool dialogue and all that. This doesn't mean you'll go through the whole underground every single time. Parts will be skipped if they seem unnecessary.
Speaking about the game. I've been thinking about doing a Cinis In Cinere sprite comic. I don't know if that's gonna go anywhere, but I might do it. I might not.
Now, about the "Indefinite Hiatus." Lately, I've labeled all my BIG projects as that, because I know it'll take a while for me to start working on them again. I'm not burnt out, I just have next to no motivation.
There's a Discord server. Join if you want, just know this isn't a "join the server for more updates" situation.
I can't draw. People look at my sprites and think that I can, but I can't. We need artists and animators (traditional art and sprites). If you think you can help out, take this Google Form.
