The Prairie Piranha is a magical creature, but an unnatural one. A crazed wizard created this species while intoxicated by accidentally merging one of his pet fish with the decaying stalks of the grasslands outside his tower. Prairie Piranhas burrow into the dirt to get the jump on prey. Their teeth became sharper in order to rip the meat of land mammals. Their grassy gills now also breath nitrogen to breath in the dirt. Their fins became curved and jagged in order to quickly tunnel through the ground. These fish are not only harmful to local ecosystems, but hazardous to explorers and travelers of all kind. Many incidents of severed toes and bloody ankles have been reported.

Made this special fish for today's Pixel Dailies.
