Major devlog: New weapons, enemies, features, upgrades and fixes!


Hi, I've been working on many new features to add to the game. Here's a summary of some the new things that you can expect in the full version of the game.


New weapons:

I have doubled the number of purchasable weapons to the game. Unlike the old weapons, which are depictions of already existing weapons; the new weapons are futuristic and are a lot stronger than the previous weapons.

These weapons will help you fight enemies in the later levels, which will be long and difficult.


New enemies:

I've added a new type of enemies to the game. These enemies approach you and throw bombs at you. I'm still polishing them a bit, but here's how they should look...

New features:

I've been working on new features to a make the game more fun for you! The most notable one is the grappling system. It allows to swing around grappling points which can be used for new levels and more creative design.

New upgrades:

I've doubled the amount of purchasable upgrades to the game. I won't reveal the specifics, but one of the upgrades is related to the grappling gun.


Fixes:

The obvious are the bug fixes.

The more notable fixes include the settings system. The settings in the publicly available version are broken and reset every time you enter a new level or menu. The new settings work much better, are saved even when you close the game, and have a few more settings like FOV.


These are of course only the most notable things done in the game. I'm almost done with the games main features and am currently trying to iron out some of them. The level design phase should begin soon... Stay tuned!
