My teammate and I have been bored. And by bored, I mean anxious and depressed while we have been awaiting a funding opportunity for our main project, ChargeShot.

Our days go as such.
Make a pot of coffee and distribute it amongst ourselves.
Open Gmail and spam the refresh button for the next couple hours.
Begin getting anxious.
Pitch a game idea to make “just while we wait”.
Work on that, and usually call it quits.
Games for us are not just a medium or a business; they are a therapy. We make games (little ones, “toys”, we’ll call them) every single day just to make ourselves feel better and take our minds off the harder and more stressful parts of the industry.
A few days ago, we made SumoPuckii,a local-two-player sumo wrestling meets bumper cars toy that actually turned out to be a lot of fun. We spent the last couple days polishing it up to actually release something for once. Through doing this, we have proven that even without the funding or the business or the contracts, that we have our claim in the world.
We make video games, and part of that is letting people play them.
