I know it’s been a while since I last updated you guys on the progress of the game, so here’s the current state of its completion and why it’s taking so long.
As you all know, I decided to transfer the game over to the 1080p widescreen scratch. At first, I thought I could just upscale all the assets for the game and add a bit more to the sides, but turns out I have to remake the assets to properly fit the program. Basically, the bulk of this time sink is going into redrawing all of the existing assets in higher definition and transferring it over. I most likely won’t post any actual playable demo, rather the full game when it’s finished. Right now, I have a large amount of the programming in place using placeholder sprites while I finish creating the animations for the gameplay and cutscenes. Hopefully I’ll be able to get something like a new trailer out to you guys soon. As for completed nights, I really only have two nights completely transferred, but there are still many placeholder sprites being used. I’m really sorry for all of the delays and moving back of the release date. I’ve been experiencing burnouts as well as often not being able to work any development into my existing schedule of being a normal person going to school. I’ll work on getting a trailer out to you guys soon, just hang in there.
