March progress update!

Well, plenty of time has passed since the TreeQuest demo was released, so I thought I'd make a quick update on what progress has been made.

The demo was a build of the first area of the game. In the final game, there will be a total of five areas. Of course, if I decide to make more areas, there will be more areas. But the story line is pretty much set in stone at this point, so that number is not expected to change.

Area 2, the Tundra, is at around 45% completion. There is still a dungeon and boss that needs to be programmed, enemies that need art, NPCs that need dialogue and art, and shops that need to be programmed. I'm planning to get this done by the end of March.

I also spent quite a bit of time polishing up the Wilderness, the area from the demo. Some minor bugs were fixed, and one room was completely redesigned. But I'm planning to focus most of my upcoming time on finishing the Tundra, and then on to Area 3!

In terms of full release, I'm hoping to have the game completed by February. Thank you to all of you who played the demo! I can't wait to share the finished product with you all.

Here's some art I made of the mysterious figure from the demo. What, or who, could this strange thing be?

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
