How are you all doing? Sorry about the lack of updates, but there's a good reason for that! Why don't we get into it...

How's the mod progress?

Recently, I released a private build with over 50% of the mod done, so everyone on the team could give feedback and find any bugs. The response for it was VERY positive! If you're curious, it included ALL the Feisty Four challenges we talked about in a previous newsletter, as well as another huge thing. Motivation is at an all-time high, so we're very excited to keep working on the mod. We're thinking the next sections won't take as much time as before, so here's hoping everyone will get their hands on this mod soon!

Any sneak peeks you could show?

As a matter of fact, yes! I wanted to show something that's been kind of under the wraps for a while...

What you see here is the option to enable Borders and change the style of the battle sprites in three different ways!

Inspired by other mods and games such as UT: Red & Yellow and TS!Underswap, we decided to add a way to customize your game to your liking! This is all accessible with the brand new Extras menu!

(WIP, anything's subject to change.)

As you can see, there's many options that can be selected.

You're able to choose any border you want or change it dynamically according to where you are in the game, just like in the console ports of Undertale and Deltarune.

(PS: Thanks to Team Golden Banana for their original code for the borders that we modified.)

These new borders are made by our wonderful artist Clemont! I don't want to give away too much but the rest of the borders look very, VERY, good!

You're also able to select between the choice of VANILLA, FLAVORFUL and COLORED sprites for battle sprites AND face sprites.

• FLAVORFUL, which is inspired by TS!Underswap, turns the black and white sprites into full single color ones.

• COLORED is pretty self-explanatory, but it’s all thanks to one of our artists, D00D M4N! He’s been doing these sprites on his own for a while, and we decided to add it in this mod as well! If you want to see more of his colored sprites, check out his Twitter account! He posted some sneak peeks of Ceroba's pacifist fight and Starlo's fight, which look amazing. He plans to release a standalone mod with the colored sprites at some point, so if you're interested to play vanilla UTY with just these sprites, be on the lookout!

And finally, we got All FUN value events and Undertale-style damage calculation. What? No, they're totally not from Red & Yellow, no way haha...

Of course, an Extras menu is not complete without some music! Here's one of the three tracks that could play when you enter it!
