That's right! New mechanics, entirely based on locations and characters. Mostly, sometimes, and maybe too often. (?)
First one off, is...!
CRAWLSPACES (the advantage of MEL's minuscule sprite size!)
Certain puzzles require you to crawl your way through tiny gaps and spaces (crawlspaces), and that's where Mel comes about!
You see, cheese-grading yourself through a closed ventilation shaft is exactly the reason why Mel is the only person to be able to do it. She's the smallest, so if batty tried to do the same, her molecular structure wouldn't be fast enough to recover.
RAMMING (use the power of BATTY's shoulder to break loose planks and walls!)
Sometimes you'll encounter loose walls, and planks, and what-not! That is your chance to shoulder-ram your way through, as presented right here:
Ramming is accessed by running! As you press X, you'll first perform the previously mentioned mechanic, after which you'll smoothly transition to running normally. Useful!
