For the past three days, I’ve had my ankle wrapped with an ace elastic compression bandage to maintain stability and reduce movement. After removing the wrap this night, I experienced a sudden spike in pain, along with numbness and noticeable coldness in the affected area. These symptoms suggest the compression was masking instability or swelling. I’m keeping the ankle elevated and avoiding weight‑bearing until I can be assessed by a clinician. However, my mom expects me to just walk, clean, go to school, and take pain meds on a fractured ankle when that'll make it worse.
