Santiago's Origin:
Santiago was originally apart of the first "sonic generations" beta, Which would have looked vastly different then the one you've seen (would have had a "Sonic Robo Blast 2" style, but with pre-made models like "Sonic 3-d blast"). But the one BIG thing planned for this game was a "SATAM Sonic" design, with Jaleel Whites voice and a OVA costume. But accidentally in the creation of SATAM Sonic something went wrong once his lives his zero once they were testing, which caused a devastating bug. The creators to design this sonic were working hard to make him appear again, but accidentally a worker and Sega deleted a whole level. This enraged all the employees and decided that enough was enough, this game was going to be buggy and to restart from scratch was the better option. But in the end, Santiago was still in the pit, his knees felt weak he felt tired, but he attempted to traverse through the pits. Until he reached the end of something, he thought this was the escape, to reach the other sonic's, to be back in his lime light. He bashed himself against the end of this void, constantly over and over... Until he finally broke through, inside one of the Sega's game creators files. He then noticed a newer version of sonic generations and went to it, but once he went in, he felt his body feels weaker, and it started to give in. His model now corrupted, looking decently like his original. yet with some parts of an older classic sonic. But in his version their was no classic sonic yet made, HE was the original classic HE was to be the lovable sonic with a smart mouth and to have sick new tricks up the straps of his shoes. But then, he saw classic sonic, he saw him in his place. He thought he was replaced, but he didn't even know that he wouldn't have been planned for this version. This sent him in a rage, getting violent, throwing grass and smashing badniks out of rage. This made his model unstable even more, corrupting with the more "modern" sonic, making his limbs longer. but this included his back quill's, his mouth was basically sewn shut as he couldn't speak this gave him immense pain, and he was going to let it out on the "faker". Santiago "defeated" classic sonic in his corrupted form (killed him like squatto from ao oni), which made him calm down returning him to his less corrupted form. He tried to convince sonic, but he didn't believe him, so "Santiago" killed sonic in a rage. He then decided, he was no longer going to try to be sonic, he re-named himself "Santiago" and rushed back to his beta game, and forced it into this "newer" generations game.
Santiago SPITED the models in the game, he thought they were hideous and horrid, and so he morphed the rest of the characters to his ideal style (more classic), in the process, killing them. He didn't mind killing them, not at all, it helped ease his constant pain. But the models couldn't spawn in after he remolded them, so he got to thinking
"if i was to bring a soul into the game by killing them while their playing my game, I can put the soul into a character!"
Fast forward to a Sega America employee getting fired, he packed his bags, took his laptop and moved on. But forgot to pass the sonic drive back to Sega (A blue thumb drive with an imprinted "Sega sonic logo on it". He passed it to his kid since he needed some space for his game, and it was just some pen-drive after all... The kid grabbed it and plugged it into the computer, noticing some files which had prototype models and designs for Sega games, and an exe file labeled "Sonic_FINALFILE.GEN".
The kid being curious (and most likely getting to play the newest Sega game or a cancelled one early). Once the game WAS loaded, their was no sign of the other promised "2" sonic's, which is odd, since this game was literally called "FINALFILE" in the name. The only sonic was, well "Santiago", the game was also named "sonic:
the next generation" instead of what we know it as.
The levels were similar to the as said before "sonic robo blast 2" his mechanics for mobility were pretty stellar and seemed promising for the kid who played them but then he reached the level which was deleted, killing sonic over and over, which is when Santiago realized someone opened his game, which is when he flashed some shit onto the screen, ritual stuff (idk something evil) which killed the player without him really noticing somehow.
Once our player woke up, he was tails, he thought he had been transferred into the sonic world to fight against sonic...
But little did he know, the adventure had just started.
What Santiago does:
Santiago goes for the thrill of the kill, he brings people into his world and takes the form of his less corrupted form of sonic in order to deceive them, to trust him. Once they get close enough, he shows he's true form and hunts down the person in question. If he cant win and he is in immense pain, he may cheat and send them to the "special stage" Giving him easier access to the player in order of kill em.
Since Santiago is just a sonic that doesn't WANT to be sonic, he knows if he were to collect 7 chaos emeralds, he could force himself out of the screen into the real world. With this though, he'd be weak for around 3-5 weeks and wouldn't be able to transform, thus being stuck in his smaller form with little differences, which would be known as "Rot-hog". Once in the real world, the chaos emeralds spread out again, and if Santiago finds them he then becomes the true final form "Apophis the demi-hog". here, he gains a more "biblical" like form and really does become "God". But with this comes a opening to whatever screen Santiago pops out of, which lets all the other players trapped at this time can come out, just stuck in whatever character they are in. The players can kill him when Santiago is weakened on earth or just on earth, as its not "his world" yet, so Santiago's rather not attempt this final form, but he would like it a lot.
Santiago's forms:
-SATAM sonic (his first form, before any sort of corruption, only had the 3 quill spike like SATAM)
-Santiago (base form, when hes little, start of his corruption)
-Modern Santiago (Doesn't like, and will not use but CAN use)
-6 Quill Skinner (more longer, stronger form. called this for the extra quills he gains, and from it using sonic's "skins" to make itself)
-Rot hog (Once he gets out the screen)
-Apophis the demi-hog (his true final form)
The forms for the players are known as "copy's" to him (Santiago). How many of them have been spawned from the souls of victims he caught go as followed:
Best buddy (Tails): 55
Red head (Knuckles):40
Ms. Rose (Amy): 33
Sall (Sally acorn): 20
Metal head (metal sonic): 0 [None have survived]
FAILURE (sonic): 0 [None have survived]
Ro-Butt-Nik (egg man): 10 [prefers to use AI for eggman]
Faker (Classic shadow?): 0 [None have survived]
Rouge (Rouge): 0 [Doesn't use, but is in files]
Lil' ol Cream (Cream): 15 [Too weak for his liking]
The ones with 0, he kills off instantly, as they have a decent chance in winning against him.
Fun facts:
-Santiago hates his lanky forms for the reason they slightly look like modern sonic, but has to kill him
-Spites sonic, with a passion, Is relatively OK with shadow since he ruins sonic's reputation
-When he "Opens" his jaw, he speaks like Jaleel white, but he cant hold this for long, and ends up sounding like EXE (I like his voice)
-theirs blood because he has to tear off his skin from his mouth in order to speak. He does this either from ripping it off with his fingers,or just by trying to force it open by opening his jaw (he only uses the mouth to open it for effect, but will rip it if he needs to, both give him pain)
-He loves blue spheres and special stages, and dislikes anyone who doesn't and wont put them in the game, as he wont see the person as worthy of his time
-Santiago cant speak in his normal form as the devs were testing a joke "Scandinavian" language since that's not a real language, but didn't change it for a while, since he didn't speak a lot.
-Santiago cant pick what person goes into a copy, its up to however they were in their original life, which is why eggman and creams number is so little
