game is receiving consistent progress, not precisely the fastest, but it is at a good pace
there have been a few setbacks here and there (like my pc dying) but i've been able to overcome those problems and keep working on things like normal
setbacks in a dusttrust's development is also something everyone is used to, so it shouldn't be a surprise

regarding general progress of the demo... there's too many things for my brain to process, so i can't give an estimated percentage of its completion
but i can give you a (very vague) list of things that have been done so far:
things such as cutscenes have already been fully written
the entire overworld is fully mapped. many rooms have already been implemented ingame
events, gameplay and pacing have also been fully planned out (this was a bitch to figure out)
our goal with dusttrust x is to let you experience the classic tale with a fresh coat of paint, and it is very important for us that you're able to put yourself in the shoes of these characters. it is why we go an extra mile to do extra work, everything is for you
also you can go inside papyrus' station (important)

we aren't missing too many things, most of the hardest parts have already been done
so while it won't be ready for a few more months, it shouldn't take too long for it to come out
more snowdin (also important)

technical side of the development
(might be boring)
a decent chunk of the work has gone to engine & quality of life improvements
one of the things i've been working on is a translation system, as the Ultimate Accessibility Setting™

unfortunately translations were never considered until late in development, so half of the code is being revamped to allow it to be possible. however, to not keep you guys waiting, this will be put on hold and will only be continued after the demo is released
it's also very important to mention that this is not a promise, the translation system can be discontinued if it creates too many issues. while things are looking great for now, you shouldn't get your hopes up in case things go south
i've managed to fully implement this system in the overworld. dialogues are also easily accessible to anyone without any sort of modding tool, all you need is notepad
which means, if you feel like it, you can go in the game files and edit all the dialogues to say "fuck"
if the translation system happens to be discontinued, don't worry about the possibility of it being a waste of time. the code i had to revamp has allowed me to implement many other things with ease and will be useful development tools
for example, the revamp to items
items were tedious to deal with and if i happened to change just one thing in one single item, i'd manually need to edit it in every single phase, battle, and overworld room. thankfully this is no longer an issue
a lot of other things that also suffered similar problems have been solved thanks to the code revamp
so every second of this has been worth it so far
...i also added keybinding

hope this helps WASD users
