Hey there, folks!
First of all, I’d like to wish you all a fantastic Xmas and holidays :)
Of course, I’m here to remind you everyone that the project is still surviving, even if version 0.04 is still technically unreleased.
But here’s why. Many thoughts have been swirling my head as of lately about fade’s framework and its visual identity. Thing is, fade is actually part of a huge story arc spanning many different concepts and ideas that I wish one day to develop with a team.
I like to think big. Like, really big, and the creative process goes, indeed, through many different phases such as brainstorming, second thoughts, last minute changes, testing, and so on. I’m considering the possibility of switching engine from RPG Maker 2003 to VX Ace, in order to allow better visuals and more versatility in terms of scripting and functionality.
Now, I’m a composer for the most part. I don’t consider myself as a pixel artist nor have the knowledge to bring out really expressive material. I’m also not a programmer, as my coding experience is extremely limited and I would have to spend some time and perseverance for it that I cannot afford right now.
So these are just thoughts. I’m not gonna release anything until I make sure all the wait will be worth in the end, and I also don’t expect anyone to volunteer for free on this project as I am a stern believer that any service should be compensated a priori. However, this is my current situation: I’m currently by myself, with a lot of ideas and concepts, but aside music, art direction and game design, (I guess also writing) I… don’t think I am much of any help. :P
What else can I say. Thanks for sticking around and your support is very well appreciated right now! Keep following the project, posting comments, ideas, anything you’d like to share! :D
See you around, stay tuned
