So in fnaf 1 we see newspapers saying the MCI killer has been convicted with video evidence, and in fnaf SL we hear Micheal say "They thought I was you", now this was clearly in reference to the animatronics, but I think it was also the authoritys, I think they had video evidence of the murders and thought it was Michael Afton who committed them and jailed him, now why would I think that? Because in What We Found we hear how everyone thinks that Hudson started the fire that killed his family, now in this story he actually did, but remember that the story is likely an analogy and not a real event in the book or movie timeline.
