Mini Progress Update (2/21/21)

Hello!

So as of right now, I'm currently assembling a new playable demo using all the salvageable components from other builds made for this project (and even ones from projects pre-dating Legendary Bastion itself!), which brings the number of (currently) playable levels up to three!

Some of these test levels were originally designed for use with Oscar, so he'll be automatically selected if either of the levels below his icon are selected.

(I do have one last test level that will likely be added in as well, which might be repurposed for Kyrak since it's more combat-oriented and his attacks are more complete.)

Oh, I should also mention that Quietfoot Forest has gotten a major overhaul in it's design. Instead of a mostly flat area with little platforming, it's now using the layout from a much older version of itself that has a lot more hills, valleys, and pits to jump around. I know it'll make coding in enemies a pain later on, but it should be more fun to traverse than what I had prior.

That's about it for now. Hopefully should have more news later on once I have more time to work with... as well as a much more complete package to show off.

'Till next time!

Yeah, we're doing this.

New look, new direction.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Mini Progress Update: Currently mixing (almost) every element from previous builds and concepts into something that plays to their strengths.

Level itself is about 2/3 complete. I'll prioritize combat after that.

Me: Man, I really wanted to have something released for the 10th anniversary, but I have nothing ready for it!

Clickteam: *drops trailer for Five Laps at Freddy's*

Me: *Finally remember that I still have a janky ace up my sleeve*

Gonna give this project another proper go. Still gotta hash out a playable prototype, but enjoy a little teaser in the mean time.

"With all due respect, you can't do this alone."

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

First signs of danger.
